FIELD: physics, control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and systems for controlling electronic medical devices. The device control method involves bringing a plurality of medical devices into contact with the body of a patient, connecting the medical devices to communicate with a console via a digital interface, transmitting a message over the digital interface from the console, to be received simultaneously by the plurality of the medical devices and synchronising the medical devices with one another in response to the received message. The message is a source radio-frequency pulse; interfaces of the plurality of medical devices include a modem and a controller; receiving circuits of the modems are configured to detect source radio-frequency pulses before processing thereof by main circuits of the modems and signal to the controller when a radio-frequency pulse is detected, and the controller synchronises circuits of the medical devices. The method is carried out by a device which comprises a console, which is configured to transmit a message over a first digital interface simultaneously to multiple recipients, and a plurality of medical devices which are brought into contact with the body of a patient, having second digital interfaces configured to simultaneously receive the message transmitted by the console and to synchronise with one another in response to receiving the message.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables to synchronise operation of medical devices.
