SUBSTANCE: invention relates to confectionary production. The waffles are produced from a whipped liquid dough containing edible solid particles represented by hydrolised starch or hydrolised inuline that do not become swollen or dissolved before the whipped liquid dough baking. The proposed waffles have density equal to at least 400 mg/cm3. The waffles may be produced from whipped liquid dough including flour, water and edible solid particles do not become swollen or dissolved before the whipped liquid dough baking.
EFFECT: proposed waffles contain no sugar or have decreased sugar content.
