SUBSTANCE: header for an agricultural machine comprises a frame, the cutting mechanism and the bottom. The bottom comprises a group of modules. The module of bottom comprises a support and a plate for the bottom. The support comprises a part of the front edge of the support, the part of the rear edge of the support and a part of the support of the bottom. The part of the front edge of the support is attached to the cutting mechanism of the header. The part of the rear edge of the support comprises the first resilient projecting part. The part of the support of the bottom comprises a second resilient projecting part. The plate for the bottom comprises a part of the front edge of the plate for the bottom, a part of the rear edge of the plate for the bottom and a substantially flat bottom part. The first resilient projecting part and the part of the rear edge of the plate for the bottom form the rear slot. The rear slot is made with the ability to accommodate the projecting part of the header frame. The second resilient projecting part and a substantially flat bottom part form a lateral slot. The lateral slot is made with the ability to accommodate the part of the side edge of the adjacent module of the bottom.

EFFECT: improved performance of the header on uneven terrain, simplified maintenance of the header.
