FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed roll comprises pin and body with taper sections secured thereat. Roll wearing sections can be replaced many times because the roll body is composed by two elements shaped to truncated cones with abutting end faces screwed or bolted together. Composite element corresponding to finished rolled stock section is shrink-fitted on the shaft. Composite element corresponding to blank grip section can displace along the shaft. Axially symmetric noncircular ledge or bore is made at end surface of one of said composite elements. Bore or ledge abuts on and is jointed with end surface of the other composite element by key, spline or shaped joint. Bore depth exceeds the height of appropriate ledge. Groove is made at the shaft on composite element side corresponding to the finished rolled stock forward section to receive two semi-rings to be locked by sliding bushing.
EFFECT: lower costs and higher quality of pipes.
