SUBSTANCE: method to control of a clothes treatment device includes a device for removal of foreign substances from the filter. The control method involves a cycle launch stage (S10) for launching the drying cycle of the clothes treatment device and a filter cleaning stage (S13) implemented at least once prior to the drying cycle completion. For this purpose the control method involves: a stage (S35) for clothes dryness degree determination by way of control of the dryness degree measurement means installed inside the clothes treatment device (the filter cleaning stage commencing when the measured dryness degree is equal or in excess of that preset by the by the control dryness degree and a stage (S11) for determination of the drying cycle end moment. Accordingly, one periodically determines whether a specific moment is the set one until the drying cycle end moment (S12). The filter cleaning stage is over simultaneously with the drying stage (S14). Prior to the drying cycle (S10) launch one may determine whether the previous drying cycle has ended abnormally (P1) while the first filter cleaning stage (P2) may be implemented based on the result of the said determination stage.
