FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ways of increasing the rib stiffness at fitting it to aircraft wing components in fabrication with the wing assy. In wing assy assembly, stiffness panels are attached to rib lateral side by low vacuum. Then, the rib is attached along with stiffness panels secured thereto to wing component. Assembly jobs are performed at the rib with panels attached thereto. Then, stiffness panels are removed from the rib by removal of low vacuum. Every stiffness panel comprises elastic external seal ring arranged at the panel lateral side to make the vacuum chamber outer perimeter. Besides, this panel comprises elastic external seal ring arranged inside the panel perimeter defined by external seal ring to make the vacuum chamber inner perimeter. Stiffness panel is secured to the rib by producing vacuum chamber owing to contact between rib and said external seal ring of the panel. Said rib has one or several bores arranged inside the perimeter defined by eternal seal ring. Every said bore in said rib is sealed by appropriate internal seal ring.
EFFECT: low-weight rib higher stiffness in aircraft wing assembly.
