FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to freight hauling and handling technology using cargo platforms. The invention is aimed to lower handling costs using transport modules based on cargo platforms with rigid pallets. Mobile cargo platform includes supporting base in the form of flat frame, rolling-contact bearings installed on the underside of supporting base at its one end, and openings for fork of lift-and-carry transfer mechanism which are made at the other end of supporting base. The rolling-contact bearings are installed at the front end of supporting base, and openings for fork are made at supporting frame rear end opposite to front end of supporting base; herewith, rolling-contact bearings protrude beneath the supporting base so that when idle the supporting base rests on supporting surface by its bottom, and when it is ready to be moved over supporting surface by means of lift-and-carry transfer mechanism when supporting base is raised at rear end by lift-and-carry transfer mechanism fork inserted into openings for fork so that underneath plane of supporting base forms sharp angle with supporting surface the supporting base rests on supporting surface using only rolling-contact bearings.

EFFECT: lower handling costs in particular due to simplification of design and increase of generecity of transport modules.
