FIELD: railway transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway transport, piggyback and combined piggyback-container. Proposed method comprises placing semi-trailer on tray (2) arranged on platform car. Semitrailer is fixed by means of fixation of wheels in trays lodgments in longitudinal and transverse directions, which in its turn is rigidly fixed on frame (1) of platform car, and support of the kingpin assy with the king pin fixation on platform car frame support (3), allowing longitudinal movement of pivot of semi-trailer to compensate deformations of fixed wheels of semi-trailer and excluding vertical and transverse displacements of semi-trailer during transportation by rail. Before loading, tray (2) is arranged on loading platform, ramp or loading ramp. By means of tractor semi-trailer is arranged on pallet, wheels and support legs of semi-trailer are located on movable platforms of tray. When the tray with the semitrailer lifting device is lifted, the movable platforms move downwards and the semi-trailer is reliably fixed by the wheels in the formed supports of the tray.

EFFECT: invention provides for reduction of inter-base space of car-platform frame, automatic fixation of wheels formed by pallet flooring and proper positioning.
