FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method of distributing multimedia information includes broadcasting a requested stream of secure multimedia information from a broadcaster node through a public repeater node. The decentralised network includes a set of nodes: a network member, public repeater nodes which facilitate relaying of the stream of multimedia information, broadcasters which facilitate broadcasting of the stream of multimedia information, channel classification and stream broadcast configuration. When broadcasting the multimedia information, the original stream is divided into segments based on the time said segments were formed, while assigning a unique and a permanent identifier. Each segment is loaded into a storage buffer of a member node, followed by copying of the segment into a playback buffer and deleting the copied segment.
EFFECT: high reliability of delivering a stream of multimedia information to a user.
