FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method of distributing multimedia information involves broadcasting a requested stream of multimedia information from a broadcaster node through a public repeater node, comprising: dividing the original stream into segments based on the time said segments were formed, while assigning each segment a unique and permanent identifier. Each segment is loaded into the storage buffer of a member node with subsequent copying of the segment into the playback buffer and deleting said copied segment from the storage buffer if further storage thereof is undesirable. The decentralised network includes a set of nodes: a network member, public repeater nodes which facilitate relaying of the stream of multimedia information, broadcasters which facilitate broadcasting of the stream of multimedia information, channel classification and stream broadcast configuration.
EFFECT: high reliability of the decentralised network.
