SUBSTANCE: rotary pickup unit of melons and gourds fruit comprises a frame with supporting wheels, a towed hitch frame, a platform, the left and right harvest rotors, a longitudinal conveyor, and a conveyor of loading fruit. The frame has the support wheels, the platform. Each harvest rotor is made in the form of a cylinder mounted on an axis with the ability to rotate towards each other. On the periphery of the cylinder the fruit-receiving cells are located, formed by an elastic band, and made in the form of the curve, which is half of the ellipse, which minor axis is directed towards the centre of the harvest rotor, and the size of the major axis of the ellipse is made equal to the diameter of the fruit.

EFFECT: reduction of labour intensity, increase in harvesting performance of melons and gourds, quality harvesting of melons and gourds fruit with their minimal damage.
