FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises affecting the incident gas flow ahead of aircraft power supply source by, for example, laser radiation. Note here that at least one local heated gas area is created, intermittently or constantly, in gas medium ahead of aircraft or coaxially therewith , its size and distance to aircraft being controlled. Controlled temperature conditions in has heating area are created so that shock waves from aircraft and those from said heated gas area feature lower intensity and propagate separately without merging in far field.
EFFECT: lower sound channel at supersonic flight.
