METHOD OF IMPACTNESS SUPERSONIC MOTION OF FLYING VEHICLE IN ATMOSPHERE AND FLYING VEHICLE FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2107010 C1

FIELD: aeronautical and space engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is based on forming radiant energy flux on board flying vehicle, focussing and radiating this flux into atmospheric air and creating energy release zone in it. Transversal motion of atmospheric air is effected without axial motion before flying vehicle in energy release zone focussing the radiant energy flux radiated into atmospheric air along axis of flying vehicle in what of its motion and creating the energy release area having length Z and transversal width X; (Z/X)>M, where M is Mach number found from relationship M = V/Vso, where V is speed of flying vehicle, and Vso is speed of sound in undistributed air; simultaneously, gas is smoothly injected from front portion of flying vehicle at temperature T > To; temperature To is found from relationship , where m is mean molecular mass of gas; V is speed of flying vehicle; γ is effective adiabatic index of gas, and Kb is Boltzmann constant; injection of gas from front portion of flying vehicle is effected in direction opposite to direction of motion of flying vehicle tangentially to its surface at axial speed component -v±vso, where V is speed of flying vehicle and vso is speed of sound in undistributed air. Proposed flying vehicle includes radiant energy source and power supply source electrically connected with radiant energy source and arranged inside flying vehicle. The latter is also provided with device for focussing the radiant energy which is located in its frontal portion and is optically connected with radiant energy source; besides, flying vehicle is provided with gas storage device and device for preparation and supply of gas which are mounted in series and mechanically interconnected. System of nozzles is provided in frontal portion of flying vehicle. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 8 cl, 3 dwg
