SUBSTANCE: absorbent product comprises an upper layer; a barrier layer; an absorbent core between the upper layer and the barrier layer; a transport layer between the upper layer and the core; a longitudinal axial line; a transversal axial line. The absorbent core has the first zone and the second zone concentrically surrounding the first zone. The first zone has the first basis weight, and the second zone has the second basis weight with the first basis weight being less than the second basis weight, wherein the first basis weight falls within the range of 7.5 g/m² to 385 g/m² and the second basis weight falls within the range of 150 g/m² to 450 g/m². The basis weight of the first zone makes approximately 5% to approximately 85% of the basis weight of the second zone. The first zone has the first end portion on the first side portion of the axial line extending transversally, and the second end portion on the opposite side of the axial line extending transversally. The first zone and the second zone have the same material composition and are formed of the same material layer. The absorbent core has substantially the uniform thickness.
