FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: acoustic sensor is installed on a support; acoustic emission (AE) is recorded and compared to the earlier obtained one; physical state of the support is estimated as per comparison results. An accelerometer is installed on the support; the acoustic sensor and the accelerometer is installed at the embedment boundary of the support into the foundation or soil; a vibrator is fixed on the support and the support is subject to the load varying as to amplitude and frequency. At the initial stage, resonance frequency of the support is determined; at this resonance frequency there recorded is support oscillation amplitude, total AE energy, number of AE pulses, counting rate of AE pulses from occurring and developing defects forming under action of support oscillations on resonance frequency during a certain period of time. Then, the obtained results are entered to a personal computer under the support number; at the next control stages there built are charts of variation of support oscillation amplitude and AE parameters on the earlier set resonance frequency. Physical state of the support and the foundation, stiffness of support fixation in the foundation or soil is estimated by the nature of variation of values of recorded parameters, and a decision is taken on elimination of detected defects, or replacement of equipment fixation on the support.
EFFECT: possibility of assessing and forecasting the state of supports, their remaining lifetime of a reinforced-concrete support, and assessment of reliable fixation of equipment on supports.
