FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of producing graphitised articles, primarily electrodes, evacuation is carried out in steps. The method includes preliminary evacuation of a secondary vacuum chamber; connecting the chamber to an autoclave until pressure in the vacuum chamber and the autoclave balances; disconnecting the chamber from the autoclave and bringing the vacuum in the autoclave to the required value in autonomous mode; feeding an impregnating agent into the autoclave until the autoclave is completely filled; beginning the process of impregnating workpieces by creating pressure of the impregnating agent in the autoclave by feeding compressed gas into a makeup tank filled with the impregnating agent to the volume of consumption thereof in the autoclave for impregnating pores in the workpieces. The apparatus for producing graphitised articles, primarily electrodes, is equipped with a secondary vacuum chamber connected to an autoclave and a vacuum pump. The apparatus is also equipped with a makeup tank with an impregnating agent, connected to the autoclave and a feed pump.
EFFECT: shorter production cycle, higher reliability, simple design of the apparatus and environmental friendliness by recycling hazardous production materials.
