FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electrode industry and is meant for use during manufacture of graphitised products, graphitised electrodes for instance. Method of manufacture of graphitised products includes heating of baked carbonic intermediate products, their vacuum treatment and pressure impregnation by carbon-bearing impregnator followed by baking and graphitising, at that as carbon-bearing impregnator shale tar pitch or its mixture with coal-tar pitch is used. Mixture contains not less than 10 wt % of shale tar pitch, at that shale tar pitch contains 0.1-1.0% of compounds insoluble in quinoline.
EFFECT: reduction of electrical resistivity, thermal factor of linear expansion, improvement of thermal conductivity of graphitised products due to upgrading of level of their graphitisability and provision of uniform density by volume of intermediate products due to impregnation of intermediate products by new carbon-bearing impregnator.
