FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to torque transfer devices, particularly to disk brakes or clutches with a floating casing for torque transfer. A device to transfer torque to a shaft comprises a mounting flange (24) with a central hole (26) for installation of a rotating shaft (28) driven by an engine (30). A disk (36) with a radial working surface and a hole in its centre is rigidly fixed on the shaft (28). Front and rear pressing disks (32 and 34) are set on the opposite sides of the disk and can move in respect to the mounting flange (24). A group of helical springs (38) is used to transfer the axial force to the disk (36) in a braking mode in order to press a ring piston (40) to the pressing disks (32 and 34). The ring piston (40) is set in the cylinder (42) fitted by an annular chamber (43) for a liquid medium moving the ring piston.
EFFECT: torque increase and reduced impact of inertia are provided.
