DELIVERY OF GRANULAR MATERIAL UNDERGROUND Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC C09K8/80 E21B43/22 E21B43/267

Abstract RU 2524086 C1

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: wellbore fluid comprises water-based carrier liquid and hydrophobic granular material suspended in it, where the hydrophobic granular material has a volume median particle size d50 of not more than 200 mcm, defined as the median diameter of equivalent volume spheres, at that the fluid additionally comprises gas for wetting the surface of the particles and binding them together in agglomerates. The wellbore fluid comprises water-based carrier liquid and hydrophobic granular material suspended in it where the hydrophobic granular material has a surface area of at least 30 m2 per litre (30000 m2/m3 or 0.03 m2/ml), defined as area surface of smooth spheres of equivalent volume, at that the fluid also comprises gas for wetting the surface of the particles and binding them together in agglomerates. The method of delivery of granular material underground comprises feeding underground the fluid composition comprising water-based carrier liquid, in which the hydrophobic granular material is suspended, having a volume median particle size d50 of not more than 200 microns, defined as the median diameter of equivalent volume spheres, at that also comprising gas wetting the surface of the particles and binding particles together, so that agglomerates of granular material, held together by gas are below the ground.

EFFECT: improving efficiency of delivery underground.
