SUBSTANCE: invention relates to providing information security and can be used in creating systems with protection from unauthorised access to information stored on an external medium. The device for protection from unauthorised access to information is a monolithic single-chip controller, having a microprocessor, read-only memory, random-access memory, reprogrammable read-only memory, an interface for communication with a computer, an external data medium, an interface for communication with an external data medium, a communication interface access controller which provides further protection from unauthorised access to information stored on an external medium, connected to the reprogrammable read-only memory, the random-access memory and the interfaces for communication with the external data medium.

EFFECT: improved robustness of the device for protection from unauthorised access to information and reduced size without reducing functional capabilities.
