FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: value of initial maximal sag of a long-length part is measured. The part is mounted on terminal poles. Load is applied in the zone of the part's maximal sag in the direction opposite to the sag direction. Reaction components in two mutually perpendicular directions are defined in one of the terminal poles. Afterwards the load is removed. Then the load required for straightening is applied at an angle in the zone of the part's maximal sag on the concave side.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of parts, expanded functional capabilities.
