FIELD: working of metals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure and can be used in deformation of tubular and rod-like products. Preliminarily, a load is applied to the rectilinear samples installed in supports at a given speed by means of a punch. The dependence of the residual deflection of the sample on the distance between the supports and the value of applied load, the maximum permissible load causing no plastic deformation of the cross-section of the sample, and the speed of application of the maximum permissible load are determined. The deflection of the product placed on the base surface in the deflection plane in the section with the greatest deflection and the size of the load base are determined. The section of the product with the greatest deflection, when placed on the supports set at the borders of the load base, is deformed with a reverse deflection at a speed determined on the sample at the maximum permissible load. The deflection and the size of the load base of all remaining curvilinear sections in the deflection planes are determined and said sections are deformed on the load base with reverse deflection.
EFFECT: required rectilinear shape of the product is obtained as a result while maintaining the shape of the cross-section thereof.
