FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment of microwave range and can be used for intracavitary physiotherapy, as well as radiometry, microwave tomography and thermography. Intracavitary microwave emitter contains case with installed on it coaxial input of electromagnetic energy and coaxial resonator delay system, and dielectric cap of cylindrical shape. Internal conductor of coaxial resonator delay system is made in form of ribbed rod. External conductor of coaxial resonator delay system is made in form of cylinder with, at least, four through longitudinal slots, symmetrically located on generators, either in form of cylinder with longitudinal slot cut, whose angle of opening evenly increases from zero from the side of coaxial input to 180-360° angle on working end of emitter.
EFFECT: application of invention makes it possible to reduce radiation in azimuth direction which results in increased efficiency of local irradiation of certain part of patient's body.
