FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: machine comprises a primary propulsion unit, an auxiliary propulsion unit, a primary engine-generator, an auxiliary engine-generator. The primary propulsion unit is made with the ability of connection to at least one primary load. The primary load comprises load of the threshing system. The auxiliary propulsion unit is mechanically independent from the primary propulsion unit and is made with the ability of connection to at least one unit of biomass processing, independent from the threshing system load. The primary engine-generator is mechanically connected to the primary propulsion unit. The auxiliary engine-generator is mechanically connected to the auxiliary propulsion unit and made with the ability of electrical actuation of at least one unit of biomass processing. The primary engine-generator and the auxiliary engine-generator are electrically connected to each other for transmitting electric power in two directions. The method of the machine operation comprises the steps, where: the threshing system load is actuated by the primary propulsion unit and the unit of biomass processing by the auxiliary propulsion unit, regardless of the threshing system load. The auxiliary propulsion unit is mechanically independent from the primary propulsion unit.

EFFECT: proposed machine and the method enable to provide stable high additional power to perform additional functions of the harvesting machine during harvesting.
