FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: cutting unit comprises fingers of open type with clamps and knife with segments. In the lower part of each finger the knife-like plates are secured. The nose parts of the plates are located in front of the ends of the fingers. The point of intersection of the line of the upper part of the knife-like plate with a vertical line drawn at the level of the ends of the fingers is located above the cutting plane. The line of the lower part of the plate extending from the nose part of the plate, to the intersection with the vertical line drawn at the level of the ends of the fingers, is made on an algebraic curve of the third order. After crossing the vertical line the line of the lower part of the plate passes in line parallel to the horizon.

EFFECT: intrusion of soil in the cutting unit is eliminated, soybean losses are reduced due to the low cutting and quality picking up of lodged stalks and beans.
