FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to steels for production of mainline pipes. Said steel contains the following substances, in wt %: carbon 0.11- less than 0.15, silicon - 0.40- less than 0.50, manganese - 1.30-1.60, chromium - over 0.30, nickel - 0.06-0.20, copper - not over 0.30, aluminium - no over 0.05, titanium - not over 0.03, nitrogen - not over 0.008, sulphur - not over 0.040, phosphorus - 0.015-0.030, iron making the rest. This steel features ferrite-perlite structure, temporary breaking strength σB not over 530 N/mm2, impact viscosity KCU-40 not over 120 J/cm2.
EFFECT: better useful qualities.
