FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry and power engineering. The apparatus (1) for producing hydrogen, which is installed in a power generating unit, includes a humidifier (2) which is provided with a process medium containing carbon monoxide, designed to mix the process medium with steam. The process medium from the humidifier (2) enters a reactor (3) where, in the presence of a catalyst, carbon monoxide is converted to carbon dioxide gas. After the reaction in the reactor (3), the high-temperature process medium flows through a first pipe (A) into a desulphuriser. Heat exchange between the high-temperature medium flowing through the first pipe (a) and low-temperature make-up water flowing through a second pipe is provided by a first group of heat exchangers (51a, 51b). Each of said heat exchangers (51a, 51b) is mounted at the points of intersection of the first (A) and second (B) pipes. Steam generated during heat exchange in the first heat exchanger (51a, 51b) is fed into the desulphuriser through a third pipe (C).
EFFECT: invention increases power generation efficiency.
