FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: clock with a clock mechanism provides a pulsating animation of images through cyclic rotational superposition of an image which is alternately partially transparent and partially coloured by one colour and an opaque image which is alternately coloured by two colours to obtain a single superimposed pulsating animated image, such that one of the image superposition phases enables formation of a superimposed image obtained by alternating some colours, and the other phase of the cyclic superposition of images enables formation of a superimposed image obtained by alternating other colours. A clock, having a clock mechanism, a clock face, a time indication means and an image animation means, characterised by that the image animation means is configured to reproduce a pulsating image animation through cyclic rotational superposition of an image which is alternately partially transparent and partially coloured by one colour and an opaque image which is alternately coloured by two colours to obtain a single superimposed pulsating animated image, such that one of the image superposition phases enables formation of a superimposed image obtained by alternating some colours, and the other phase of the cyclic superposition of images enables formation of a superimposed image obtained by alternating other colours.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the clock, further providing entertainment and therapeutic tranquillity through cyclic pulsating image colour changes on the clock face when reproducing image animations.
