FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed joint comprises two metallic branch pipes. One branch pipe has bell while another has smaller-diameter section to be fitted in the bell to make a joint zone. Ring from thermosetting resin is fitted between said bell and smaller-diameter section over the entire joint length. End chamfer and bore are made inside said bell. Bore one end faces the side opposite the bell end while another one is shaped to cone. Outside said smaller-diameter section end chamfer and circular mortise. Mortise one end faces the side opposite the bell end while another one is shaped to cone. Sleeve made of hard dielectric material is arranged between the end faces of bore and mortise. Joint tightness over its length results from bell compression and expansion of smaller-diameter section. Invention rules out cracking in production and operation.
EFFECT: high mechanical strength at compression and expansion.
