FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises selection of installation zones, mounting the block onto the bed, measurement of erection clearances between connection surfaces of the block and bed, displacement and attachment of zone block on the basis of measurements. Note here that, first, computer-aided design system is used to construct a virtual 3D model of ship compartment and said zone block. Said locating zones of the block and its model represent reference points common for ship compartment bed and zone block. Then, at least three reference points with identical spatial coordinates relative to ship compartment are secured at locating bases of actual bed and zone block are secured. There, block and bed are assembled relative to set reference points to measure coordinates of actual arrangement of their connection surface relative to said reference points. Thereafter, virtual erection of zone block is set on the bed by aligning the erection bases (reference points) to measure obtained erection clearances by virtual assembly. Actual erection clearances and those measured at virtual assembly are compared. Difference between both is used to make design displacement block at ship compartment bed to setting it to design position.
EFFECT: accelerated installation, lower labour input.
