FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, particularly batteries. Disclosed is a battery holder, having a first and a second double-contact unit. The first double-contact unit is placed on the housing part of the battery holder and the second double-contact unit is placed on the detachable part of the battery holder. Each double-contact unit includes a positive contact and a negative contact, respectively configured to be brought into contact with the positive contact and the negative contact of the battery. The detachable part of the battery holder is movable into and from a state of connection with the housing part. In the connected state, the double-contact units are held apart such that they form a socket, wherein the double-contact units support opposite ends of the battery. Movement of the detachable part into the connected state also establishes electroconductivity between the positive contacts and the negative contacts of each of the double-contact units.
EFFECT: preventing improper battery connection.
