APPARATUS FOR CONNECTING HOSE TO VACUUM CLEANER AND VACUUM CLEANER FOR WET/DRY CLEANING Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: systems for connecting hose with housing of vacuum cleaner for wet/dry cleaning.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus is used for connecting hose to housing of vacuum cleaner in which dust trap is arranged with possibility of extraction. Apparatus includes hose holder mounted in housing of vacuum cleaner and having air intake; hose connecting branch pipe designed for connection with air intake and connected with suction hose; additional connection branch pipe arranged between hose holder and outer peripheral surface of dust trap with possibility of motion between first and second positions; actuating organ for moving additional branch pipe between first and second positions. At first position additional branch pipe is extracted from dust trap and it is shifted to air intake of hose holder. At second position additional branch pipe is moved to connection opening of dust trap. Vacuum cleaner for wet/dry cleaning includes: housing with evacuation system in lower part for creating suction effort; dust trap detachably mounted in housing and having connection opening; cover mounted on housing with possibility of rotation around axle for opening/closing top portion of housing; suction brush connected with housing through suction hose for cleaning surface; apparatus for connecting suction hose with housing. Said apparatus may have tight contact with opening of dust trap at closing cover and it may be shifted by predetermined distance from dust trap without interference to vertical motion of dust trap at opening cover in order to easily extract dust trap from housing of vacuum cleaner.

EFFECT: improved design not needing separation of hose connection branch pipe from housing of vacuum cleaner at extraction of dust trap.
