METHOD OF PROCESSING SIGNALS DURING MULTICHANNEL PHASE-BASED DIRECTION-FINDING OF SHORT-WAVE RADIO SOURCES Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC G01S1/08

Abstract RU 2527943 C1

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in direction-finding radio sources in the short-wave range. The result is achieved due to that the disclosed device carries out frequency selection of a received signal and measurement of signal phase at each antenna array element, then, at the frequency of the radio source, estimation of the signal phase at the geometric centre of the antenna array, at each antenna array element, determination of the signal relative to the phase at the geometric centre of the antenna array, formation of a coordinate matrix and a directional matrix of the antenna array, determination of the spherical surface of the location of the arrival vector of a plane wave, finding an auxiliary vector which defines the centre of the region of possible measurement errors of the wave vector, construction of a series of similar ellipsoids of errors with the found common centre, determination of the point of contact of an ellipsoid from the constructed series with the spherical surface and then finding the signal arrival vector and the corresponding azimuth and elevation angle.

EFFECT: faster processing of short-wave radio source signals in three-dimensional space during multichannel phase-based direction-finding.
