FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: gas analyser comprises an emitting diode made of two p-n junctions placed in a single housing and a radiation detector, placed in a cell which is divided by a radiation-transparent partition wall of sapphire glass into two compartments. One compartment is intended for the analysed gas mixture and the other for accommodating the radiation source and detector. End walls of the cell are in the form of spherical mirrors, and the output of the radiation detector is connected to a measurement circuit which comprises an amplifier, the input of which is connected to the output of the radiation detector and the output is connected to the input of a resonance amplifier, synchronous detectors, inputs of which are connected to outputs of the resonance amplifier and control inputs are connected to the third output of the power supply unit of the radiation source, the first two outputs of which are connected to the radiation source, as well as a recording apparatus. The circuit also includes two storage units, an analogue voltage divider and a logarithmic amplifier. The storage units are connected to inputs of the analogue voltage divider and outputs of the synchronous detectors, respectively, and the output of the divider is connected to the input of the logarithmic amplifier, the output of which is connected to the input of the recording apparatus.
