FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: annular retroreflection system consists of corner reflectors with a pyramidal vertex and a base, the lateral faces of which are coated with a reflecting coating. In each corner reflector, one of the three dihedral vertex angles has a given deviation from 90°. The vertices of the corner reflectors are arranged uniformly on a circle such that the bases of the corner reflectors lie in one plane. Each corner reflector is turned such that the projection of the edge of the dihedral angle of the corner reflector having a given deviation from 90° on the plane makes an angle with the tangent to the circle which is identical all for corner reflectors. Projections of diametrically opposite edges of dihedral angles of the corner reflectors having a given deviation from 90° are parallel.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring distance to the centre of retroreflection systems and enabling use thereof in uniaxially oriented satellites, for example, GLONASS satellites.
