SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a cartridge which is detachably mounted into the main assembly of an image forming apparatus, and an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording medium, having said cartridge which is detachably mounted into the main assembly of the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus has a cartridge which is detachably mounted into the main assembly of the image forming apparatus and comprises: processing means for performing image formation, a frame for supporting said processing means and a cartridge electrode which is integrally formed by feeding electroconductive binder into said frame. Said cartridge electrode comprises: a first contact portion which is open to the outside of said frame and is in contact with the contact of the main assembly provided in the main assembly of the apparatus, when said cartridge is mounted in the main assembly of the apparatus, a second contact portion provided for electrical connection with said processing means, and a receiving input portion into which the binder is fed, when said cartridge electrode is formed in said frame. The electroconductive binder fed into said receiving input portion is divided to form said first contact portion and said second contact portion such that an electroconductive path is formed for electrical connection of the contact of the main assembly and said processing means, and transportation means for transporting the recording medium.

EFFECT: simple construction of the frame and electrode portion and improved process of assembling the cartridge and the electroconductive property of electrode assembly.
