FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gear wheel comprises a body, a toothed rim with teeth and a pair of end ring patches. The patches are of different thickness in the radial plane of the wheel: the thickness is maximal in the zone of teeth points, and is minimal in the zone of the teeth roots and wheel body, the thickness is changed in one step.
EFFECT: lower material input of a gear wheel without operation deterioration.
