FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in decreasing of the temperature of air used for gas turbine cooling. Air temperature is decreased in turbo-refrigerating unit (TRU) and comprises compression of air used for cooling in compressor with its subsequent cooling in heat exchanger and turbine expander. TRU is arranged in gas turbine inlet channel, its crosswise sizes exceeding the TRU compressor crosswise sizes. TRU compressor pressure increase degree is larger than that in gas turbine compressor. TRU is driven by gas turbine. TRU outlet cooled air pressure corresponds to air pressure downstream of gas turbine compressor. For increase of air cooling degree, a portion of this air is bypassed to TRU compressor.
EFFECT: gas temperature increase upstream of gas turbine blades to 2600 K.
