FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on producing the desired dye from m-aminophenols with o-phthalic anhydride by heating in the presence of methanesulphonic acid, separating the dye by flash-chromatography of a leuco base thereof on silica gel by subsequently converting the leuco base of the rhodamine dye into rhodamine hydrochloride in the presence of hydrochloric acid and ethanol.
EFFECT: high efficiency of obtaining rhodamine dyes, low labour and power consumption and improved environmental friendliness.
