FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for moving furniture articles. The device contains a self-orienting and self-locking roller and at least one castor that, freely moving on the shaft, enables setting furniture articles in motion in any horizontal direction via the support socket. The device has a movable bracket wherein, on one side, the roller is attached to the axle so that to be capable of free rotation on such axle, while the other side of the bracket is attached (via the axle) to the body that is capable of circular movement. The bracket is exposed to directional pressure of a resilient element represented by a plate or spring ensuring contact of the roller to the support surface and a gap between the device foothold and the support surface that is eliminated by way of applying to the body a vertical force exceeding that of the resilient element and ensuring the roller self-locking.

EFFECT: achieving the device usage convenience due the possibility of furniture articles fixation by means of the resilient element.
