FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a control method of traffic flow in a packet network. A working subnetwork includes one or more prepared static working paths between one initial node and one or more target nodes in the network; with that, the working subnetwork includes a service copy. A provision is made for a redundant subnetwork that contains one or more dynamic safety paths between one above said initial node and one or more above said target nodes; besides, the redundant subnetwork is associated with the service copy. During normal operation of the network, redirection of subscriber traffic associated with the service copy takes place via the network using the working substation. After a network failure influencing on the service copy is detected, the subscriber traffic associated with the service copy is switched to be redirected via the network using the redundant subnetwork.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in minimisation of quality reduction of servicing during network failures.
