SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machines for preparation of liquid food or beverages having a user-friendly interface. The machine (1) for preparation of liquid food or beverage has a user interface (11) with a lever switch (20) containing the lever switch element (21) to be moved by the user and a control unit (16) intended to fulfil one or more working processes of the machine (1). The control unit is intended for storage of multiple values of the working process parameter. The user interface (11) is connected to the control unit (16) and enables the user to select one value from those stored for the control 8unit to fulfil the corresponding working process with the selected parameter value. The lever switch element (21) may move between multiple certain selectable positions (251, 252) for selection of values from such multiple values, each value related to the corresponding selectable position (251, 252) of the lever switch element (21).

EFFECT: creation of an easier-to-use machine for preparation of liquid food or beverages with improved ergonomics and an intuitive and user-friendly interface.
