SUBSTANCE: machine (1) for preparation of liquid food and beverages containing: at least one remotest surface of the machine selected from among the surfaces including the front surface (12), the top surface and the side surface (7); a light emitting means (22) with at least one light emitting condition and once condition wherein light is not emitted; additionally, the machine has an illuminated external surface (81, 101′, 121) (positioned in at least one remotest surface (12) of the machine and intended for illumination in the light emitting condition) and a control unit (20) connected to the light means (22). The control unit is intended for detecting at least one condition of the machine, in particular, the condition wherein the machine is not prepared for immediate preparation of liquid food or beverage and communication of information on such condition to the user with the help of the illuminated external surface (81, 101′, 121) through change of the light means condition (22). The illuminated external surface (81, 101′, 121) extends in at least one direction within a considerable part of at least one remotest surface (12).

EFFECT: illuminated external surface (81, 101′, 121) essentially intended to be completely illuminated in the light emitting condition.
