SUBSTANCE: invention describes the method of assessment of protein-synthesizing function of leukocytes for clinical studies with enzyme-immunoassay method by isolation of leukocytes from the venous blood using the system Vacutainer BD, containing dextrose, the procedure of washing cells, preparing a suspension containing 50000 cells in 1 mcm, the subsequent 20-hour cultivation in Needle-MEM medium with addition of tumour necrosis factor-alpha at a concentration of 0.005 mcg/ml, destruction of cell membranes by lysis solution and the 50-fold dilution of the samples in determining the concentration of alpha-defensins, and in determining the content of C-reactive protein without dilution.
