SUBSTANCE: method for examining an individual's motor and cognitive functions is implemented by conducting a stabilometrical test, wherein a person being tested controls his/her position and follows instructions to hold an actual pressure centre in a preset zone of a stabilometric platform The test involves two sequential phases equal in length, the first of which is free from a biological feedback (BFB) by a support reaction with the help of the artificial BFB loop, while the second one contains the same. The test results in comparing the quantitative values derived from the two phases, which are related to the position control, and the quantitative values reflecting a degree of carrying of the instruction. Comparing the stabilometric values are used to assess the functional state of the person being tested.

EFFECT: method provides the objective assessment of the individual's state by the quantitative evaluation of an ability to carry out the body position as specified by the instruction and attention that is a combination of the motor and cognitive tasks in the single task, and enables the objective assessment of the cognitive component on the position control, including the biological feedback by the support reaction.
