METHOD OF REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS WITH POST-STROKE DISORDERS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2745281 C1

FIELD: medicine; neurology.

SUBSTANCE: trainings on the movements of the hands and then training on a stabilometric platform with biofeedback are conducted using the optic and auditory canals in the training process. The patient, being on a stabilometric platform in front of the monitor and moving his/her body relatively to feet, should identify his/her center of pressure, shown on screen as the cursor with the target, keeping the center of pressure in the center of the target, or moving it, while session with a speech therapist. The patient first comments on the actions performed by him/her on the stabilometric platform, and then the same training continues in a question-and-answer form. The general course consists of 8-10 procedures. Trainings begin on a stabilometric platform with a power joystick for the hand. The patient alternately with healthy and then sick hand exerts pressure on stabilometric platform with the joystick, holding the cursor over a target on the screen for 2-3 minutes with each hand and repeat it for 2-3 times. After that, trainings continue in the same mode with the eye, opposite to the working hand, closed. After a break of 20-40 minutes, trainings are held on a stabilometric platform, holding the center of pressure in the center of the target or moving it, without a speech therapist and with a speech therapist. Then, after a break of 30-40 minutes, the patient performs gymnastic exercises: axial rotational movements of the body, rotational and flexion movements in the shoulder, elbow, and wrist joints, first with two hands simultaneously, then alternately with each hand separately, starting with the healthy hand, for 5-7 minutes, gradually increasing the time of gymnastic exercises to 15-20 minutes.

EFFECT: method provides reduced duration of rehabilitation measures when achieving a high therapeutic effect.
