FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of preparing a catalyst for the purification of discharged gases from carbon oxide and hydrocarbons includes the application of active components on an alumooxide carrier by soaking with water solutions of chrome, nickel and palladium compounds with following drying and tempering. Applied is a preliminarily tempered alumooxide carrier, which has the following technical characteristics: strength coefficient 2.5-3.5 kg/mm, specific surface 200-210 m2/g, total volume of pores 0.58-0.69 cm3/g.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase mechanic strength and the specific surface of the catalyst, increase the volume speed of gas to be purified with the higher activity of the catalyst and increase its service term.
