FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst of vapor hydrocarbon conversion comprising active part, containing nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd) rhodium (Rh), ruthenium (Ru), gold (Au), and aluminum oxide based carrying agent containing magnesium oxide, calcium / magnesium aluminate. Active part of catalyst further includes calcium, aluminum, potassium. Content of components in the catalyst, weight %: nickel oxide 5–60; potassium oxide 0–5; magnesium oxide 0–5; calcium oxide 0–5; aluminum oxide 0–5; copper oxide 0–5; platinum 0–2; palladium / rhodium / ruthenium / gold 0–0.5; rest is carrying agent up to 100. Proportion of X-ray amorphous elements of main active component is at least 0.4.
EFFECT: increase in initial activity, long-term stability.
