FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: method of snow mobile movement consists in providing propulsor elements interaction with bearing surface. Snow mobile propulsor is made in the form of star, preferably three-rayed, which is rotated by means of chain transmission. In the ray apices of the mentioned star ski are installed with possibility of their rotation relative to the star in the points of their attachment to rays and with possibility of axial vertical displacement. Each of ski is made of at least two pivotally interconnected parts which provides ski displacement in vertical plane when the main star is rotating. The ski are installed in ray apices so that distance from ski tip to mounting point is equal to 0.2…0.4, preferably, 0.25 of ski length. On the running surface of the mentioned ski notches are made providing ski movement in one direction. During driving the main sprocket is rotated, preferably using chain transmission, successive alternate interaction of running surface of each ski with supporting surface for snow mobile movement covered with snow is provided by insertion of the said ski into snow, axial movement of the said ski in snow relative to snow mobile, and ski removal from snow. Snow mobile coasting is provided by means of taking both ski out of contact with supporting surface.
EFFECT: decrease in dimensions and better sliding of snow mobile.
