SUBSTANCE: described is a cross-linked carboxylic acid copolymer comprising: a) recurring units of an olefinic unsaturated carboxylic acid, and b) recurring units of a non-hydrocarbyl group present in an amount of about 1 to about 10 wt % with respect to the cross-linked carboxylic acid copolymer, wherein said copolymer is crosslinked with a polyfunctional vinylidene monomer containing at least two terminal CH2=C< groups, and where the non-hydrocarbyl group contains a siloxane hydrophobic monomer having molecular weight Mw in the range of about 500 to 50000, which is a mono(meth)acrylate terminal group-containing or a functional group-containing poly(dialkylsiloxane), poly(diarylsiloxane) or poly(alkylarylsiloxane), where the alkyl group is in the range of CH3 to C4H9, and the aryl group is a phenyl or alkylphenyl, or a fluorinated hydrophobic monomer, which is a fluorinated alkylmethacrylate.
